The Kentucky Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program and the Tobacco Prevention Enhancement Site, in collaboration with the Kentucky Cancer Consortium, sponsored the summit entitled "Midwest Academy: Direct Action Organizing" on Sept. 4-5, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Lexington. The event included a programming from the Midwest Academy, a leading national training institute that teaches a strategic, results-oriented approach to social action and organization building.

The Kentucky Cancer Consortium, in partnership with the Kentucky Women's Cancer Screening Program hosted a summit entitled "Collaborate Kentucky: Roads to Cancer Prevention" on April 2-3, 2008 at the Marriott Griffin Gate Hotel and Resort in Lexington, Ky.

The Kentucky Cancer Consortium's First Annual Summit was held on May 8-9, 2007 in Lake Cumberland State Resort Park. The event showcased success stories, facilitated sharing of best practices, and provided an opportunity for members, partners, and others to network and share resources.
