Operational Committees

The following are operational committees of the Kentucky Cancer Consortium.

  • Communications Committee
Responsible for communication outreach and marketing efforts. Committee members work directly with the KCC Communications Coordinator and Webmaster.

  • Evaluation Committee
Responsible for maintaining evaluation plans to assess the efficiency of the implementation of the Cancer Action Plan (CAP) for Kentucky. In collaboration with the Kentucky Cancer Registry, the Committee explores avenues for application of cancer prevention and control data. The Evaluation Committee also provides technical support to partners.

  • Business Plan Committee
This committee helps determine the costs of implementing various sections of the CAP and define strategies to obtain necessary resources.

Operational Committees provide specialized cross-cutting support that enhances cancer control efforts. They focus on areas of ongoing critical need and work to increase the overall impact of comprehensive cancer control in Kentucky. Membership in operational committees is voluntary and open to any organization, group or individual who meet the following criteria:

  • Have particular interest in a specific area of cancer prevention and control in Kentucky.
  • Demonstrate experience and/or expertise in that specific area or a related field.
  • Endorse the function, mission and role of the KCC.
