  Survivorship Committee  

Mission/Vision statement:
“To bring stakeholders together to collaborate, share resources, generate synergy, and further our specific missions to reach our common goal: To increase the proportion of cancer survivors who receive services that improve the quality of life from diagnosis onward.”

The KCC Survivorship Committee provides a state-level forum for networking and sharing among organizations that have a statewide or multi-regional impact in Kentucky. The organizations identify and discuss gaps in addressing issues surrounding survivorship in Kentucky and look toward potential collaborations to address those gaps.

Upcoming meeting: Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, 1- 4 p.m., American Cancer Society office, next to Hope Lodge. Directions.

Educational/Resource Opportunities

  • How to Have an Effective Meeting With Your Legislator. A free webinar hosted by the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm EDT. Content: NCCS will address how to arrange an appointment with your legislators or senator, how to prepare for your meeting, and what to say depending on where your legislator stands on an issue. Learn the do’s and don’ts and watch re-enactments of actual meetings Register.
